W. Allen Engineering, PLLC is working as a subconsultant to Stantec and is responsible for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Design as needed associated with the LIRR 3rd Track RFP Submission. The LIRR Expansion Project extends approximately 9.8 miles from the Village of Floral Park to the Hamlet of Hicksville.
Design & Construction for Metro North Enhanced Station Improvements- Phase 1 and 2

Allen Engineering is a subcontractor to Ove Arup & Partners PC as an MEP Designer and CAD Drafter for project Design and construction for Metro North Enhanced Station improvements- Phase 2 – 1000092250 at Metro-North’s White Plains, Crestwood, Riverdale, Port Chester, Harlem-125th Street and Yonkers Stations (“ESI Project”) stations. WAE is preforming the following scope of work for MEP design services including snowmelt systems, improved lighting for platforms, plazas, entrances, and staircases

Allen Engineering is working together and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team headed by AECOM that includes Architects, Landscape Architects, Civil, Structural, Marine and other disciplines including MEP Design, Pavilion MEP / FP / FA Design, Flood Alignment EM power and Drainage. WAE performed the following feasibility study prior to receiving the Change Order to design the geothermal system: Investigate the feasibility of a geothermal and or sewer heat recovery system.

The CCM is supporting the NYC Transit Authority project during the construction and closeout phases of the 207th Street Maintenance and Overhaul Shop Roof Repair and Replacement. WAE is responsible for providing Structural Inspection services which includes: Repair steel beams, Repair concrete spalls on top/ bottom of existing structural slab, Perform partial full depth replacement of existing concrete roof slab, Repair cracks on top/ bottom of existing structural slab, Perform partial full depth replacement of existing metal deck, Replace angle framing support and chain/ cable with bands for mechanical equipment and exhaust pipes include new base plates for all cable tie downs and framing support connections, Replace corroded roof ladder and walkway connections, Replace window lintels

Lin International P.C. as a MEP Design and CAD for Continuation Of Task Order Cm-1634 To-02 DCE (Division Of Car Equipment) Shop Component Repairs Phase II At 239th Street, Concourse And East New York Maintenance Shops In The Boroughs Of Bronx And Brooklyn (Contract C-34855) Consultant Construction Management (CCM) And Inspection Services. WAE is preforming the following scope of work - Provide a Mechanical Inspector and Manager on two locations to review plans, coordinate and supervise the Concourse Maintenance Shop and the East New York Maintenance Shops

SBM Fire Pump Replacement
SUNY, Stony Brook University Hospital
W. Allen Engineering was contracted to perform Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services under LiRo Group. W. Allen Engineering shall provide Fire Pump review of construction documents at the Stony Brook University Hospital. The engineers’ goal is to confirm the review meets the building codes and standards, and the calculations are accurate.
Hospital Parking Garage Feasibility Study

W. Allen Engineering is the SDVOB subconsultant for Wilmot Sanz on this project. The purpose of this project is to conduct a feasibility study to evaluate the development and construction of a new multi-level parking facility on the existing surface lot to the north of the HSC Garage. A parking facility at this location is serviced via the exiting HSC Lot and Garage.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS
CCM and CI Services for the Design and Construction of ADA Upgrade of Livonia Avenue Station
MTA NYCTA - Transit Authority
W. Allen Engineering is a subcontractor to HDR Engineering, Inc for Consultant Construction Management (CCM) and Inspection Services (State Funded) for the Design and Construction of ADA Upgrade of Livonia Avenue Station, Canarsie Line (BMT), Borough of Brooklyn (A-37150D). WAE is preforming the following scope of work: Connecting and Coordinating CCTV Cameras to relay feeds back to remote locations NYPD headquarter and Rail Command Center. Installing two new elevators with all hardware (power/ communication) required for passengers with disabilities. Upgrading Emergency Safety Equipment such as Fire Alarm to cover the station’s expansion of new staircases and elevator. Rerouting existing Fiber Optic Cable by cutting the cables after traffic has been moved off of it and splicing (connecting) it back together in a new location. Installing a new PA (Public Announcement) CIS (Customer Information Screen) Cabinet that will allow Rail Command Center to send and receive information to the station.
Replace Exterior Windows and Doors – Performance Arts Center & Natural Sciences Building

The goal of this project is to replace entry vestibule and front curtain walls on Natural Science. Replace all exterior entry doors to the PAC underpass. WAE provided support for the door replacements to include powering of newly installed door, reconnecting to existing systems, providing new wiring and feeds where required. The Box office renovation included changing the existing layout and installing new diffusers, ducting layout, new lighting, new controls and thermostats. The renovation also included new IT cabling and connections to each of the workstations.
